Transport Management (TMS) Overview

Updated over 2 years ago

Maritech's Transport Management System (TMS) is a cloud based solution designed for planning, executing and monitoring transport orders, trips and everything related to these processes. This integrated logistics solution helps maximize economic and operational control. The system is fully integrated with a customer portal (Maritech Connect), a mobile app for drivers (Maritech Confirm), external transporters / carrier systems, and with Maritech Purchase & Sales (for those who are already on the Maritech Cloud platform).

The TMS Workspace

When you first login to TMS, the Planning view is displayed. This view presents an overview of all of the orders and trips in the system.

The left-hand side Navigation menu allows you to quickly access the most commonly used functions in TMS. Expand or hide the menu to provide maximum page viewing by toggling the X/lines icons at the top of the menu. The right-hand side allows you to set filters to find specific information on the various pages.

Planning - The Planning page provides an overview of all tasks that need to be assigned with functions to easily connect them to trips or to external vendors. This page gives a graphical representation of where your tasks are, where trips are, and a live location of your vehicles. On the Planning page, you can search for orders and trips and connect them, create tasks, open orders and trips and also see details on the map. This is the main TMS working area.

Orders - In the Orders page, you can view all orders in the system and their details and statuses.

Trips - In the Trips page, you can view all planned trips and their details. A series of tabs allows you to view planned trips by status and includes a live view of trips and vehicles.

External Orders - External orders and statuses are listed on this page.

Pricings - This page gives an overview of all customer-facing pricings, with functions to create invoices and credit notes and post them to accounting.

Accounting - Details of order batches created and sent to the accounting system.

Economy - This page gives a full overview of all economy related records in the system, giving a unified view of both income and costs, with the ability to filter on dates, departments, vehicles and more.
